The Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Hearts Children's Home, a vital sanctuary for abandoned and neglected children, is currently undergoing a significant reconstruction.

Cebu, Philippines – The Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Hearts Children's Home, a vital sanctuary for abandoned and neglected children, is currently undergoing a significant reconstruction. Established in 1992 through the generous donation of the Van Soelen Family, founders of Electro Cirkel BV, the center has been a beacon of hope and care for countless children over the past three decades.

Located in Cebu, the Children's Home was founded with the mission of providing a safe and nurturing environment for children who have been abandoned or neglected. From its inception, the facility has been managed by the dedicated Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Hearts, who have worked tirelessly to maintain and sustain its operations. Their efforts have been supported by the kindness of local benefactors and international donors, whose contributions have been essential to the home's survival and growth.

The sisters, who lead the center, expressed deep gratitude for the ongoing support. "We have been incredibly blessed by the generosity of our community and friends from abroad. Their support has allowed us to provide a loving home and essential services to children who need them most," she said.

The decision to undertake major reconstruction of the Children's Home comes as a response to the evolving needs of the children and the desire to enhance the facilities. The renovation aims to expand the living quarters, improve educational and recreational spaces, and upgrade essential infrastructure to meet modern standards of care.

"We are committed to creating a better environment for the children. This reconstruction is not just about building better facilities; it's about investing in the future of these young lives," added one of the sisters.

The Van Soelen Family, whose initial donation made the Children's Home possible, continues to be involved. A spokesperson for the family commented, "We are honored to see the impact of the Children's Home over the years. The ongoing reconstruction ensures that it will continue to serve as a safe haven for many more children in need."

As the project progresses, the Franciscan Sisters remain optimistic about the future. They envision a revitalized home that not only meets but exceeds the needs of its residents, providing them with the foundation they need to build bright and promising futures.
