At Calex, we consider the protection of your personal data and privacy to be very important. Our Smart App and Smart devices only collect and process the data necessary for the safe, correct and user-friendly operation of our services. We always do this in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the requirements of the European Data Act.

What information do we collect?
Depending on the type of smart device, we may process the following data:
- Location details – for example, for automation based on weather conditions.
- Usage data – to detect errors early on and improve the app.
- Contact details – to inform you about important notifications or malfunctions.
- Identifiers – for push notifications, for example when motion is detected by a camera.
- Diagnostic data – to resolve technical issues, such as crashes or bugs.

Data storage within Europe
All personal data and data necessary for the proper functioning of our smart devices and the Smart App are stored exclusively on secure servers within the European Economic Area (EEA). This guarantees that your data is protected in accordance with the strictest European data protection standards and that it will not be transferred outside Europe without your consent.

Your rights
As a user, you have the right under the GDPR to:
- Access the data we have stored about you.
- Request correction or deletion of your data.
- Permanently delete your Smart App account and all associated data    .

How can you submit a request?
Would you like to exercise one of these rights? You can submit a request by sending an email to
dpo@electrocirkel.com with the subject line "GDPR access request".Please include the email address of your Smart App account and the device IDs of your linked devices. After verifying your identity, you will receive an overview of your data within 60 days.

European Data Act
In addition to the GDPR, we also follow the guidelines of the European Data Act. This means that we are transparent about the use of data generated by our Smart App and smart devices. Users always retain the right to access this data and, where possible, transfer it to another service or provider.
Our goal is to give you, the user, maximum control over your data and to prevent unfair or discriminatory restrictions on the use or sharing of data.
